We want to take this time to thank you all for your patience in 2015. Every now and then things can get hectic and despite our best efforts, we don’t give the service we want to and that you deserve. As we come into the New Year, we want to let you know that we are eager to show you The Planer Group is still the place to go for ..."All Your Accounting Needs!"

We are excited to see what the New Year will bring and determined to bring you the energy and vitality that you have known in the past, along with timely delivery of your taxes and other accounting projects. With that in mind, we want to be proactive and give some deadlines in order to ensure that we can fulfill our promises to you without sacrificing quality.

This year due to a special D.C. holday, April 18, 2016 is the deadline for timely filing of your Federal and State taxes. In order to ensure that we can meet that deadline for you, please keep the following dates and timelines in mind:

April 1, 2016- This is the latest date that we can take your tax information and promise April 15^th delivery without additional costs to you, other than your normal preparation fee.

April 5, 2016- This is latest date we can take any information for April 15^th delivery. This date is for emergencies only and there will be a $200 surcharge added to your normal preparation fee to expedite completion of your taxes.

As always, we can do extensions for you and ask that you give us a call in the office or drop us an email to let us know you would like one prepared and submitted. April 18, 2016 is the deadline for extensions as well.  There is only one extension now for the IRS and it extends the filing time through October 15, 2016. In most cases, it is not necessary to do an extension for the state, though a few states do require one.

And just as we have dates for April, there will be corresponding dates for the October deadline.
